About 31 years ago, Curly & I met in the Ross County Board of Education office where I was and still am a secretary. He would periodically help one of the supervisors distribute food commodities in the schools. I was raising two daughters. He had two sons and two daughters. We now have 12 grand kids and 5 great-grand kids.
Curly enjoys horses, horseshoe pitching, and has a passion for cornhole. My interests includes my four dogs, reading, planting flowers, and church activities.
Our first motorcycle was an early 1980's 1000 Suzuki which had no back rest. After nearly dumping me when he took off from a red light, he bought a sissy bar. Soon after that we bought a 1100 Suzuki and from there we owned a 1986 and then a 1987 1400 Cavalcade Suzuki. That is when we started to really enjoy travelling and riding any time we could.
When Curly bought a dump truck, we sold our bike and didn't ride for 11 years. He started remembering how much we enjoyed riding and travelling and ended up buying a new 2003 Goldwing. Then we started looking for someone to ride with. It was Don Hughes and Larry Broome who first encouraged Curly to come to a chapter meeting. We thought, "Why not?". So we came and have been coming ever since.
Now we have been asked to be the 2010 Couple of the Year for the P2 Chapter. We will continue to ride and support our chapter as best as we can.
